Teen Dating Violence Awareness Competition

Hosted by the Family Safety Network Teens

Teen dating violence is a very large issue, with 1/3 youths being in an unhealthy or abusive relationship before the age of 18. This is why February is the month to raise awareness for this issue. Our intern team decided that we were going to have a themed art competition to raise awareness of this.

Our theme is rehabilitation: the process of healing from an abusive relationship. The journey that comes with breaking away from a toxic relationship. We are accepting and showcasing art submissions from our local high school students. These submissions will represent the empowerment and strength one gains from a healthy relationship, the pain experienced while recovering from an unhealthy or abusive relationship, or any other expression that fits within our theme.

Here are the submissions that we have for the art contest. Please look at these and choose your favorite. Voting will conclude on March 11th. Prizes will be awarded to the winners of this competition.

Prizes were generously donated by O'Rourkes, Butter Cafe, Rise, Peaked Sports, The Local Gallaria, and the Teton Arts Council.

Thank you to our teen artists who made these lovely submissions!
